The School is a historical school in the city of Trikala. We are very happy and satisfied for our participation in the project «SCoopConSS». We initially took part due to a very innovative idea – social entrepreneurship – and a very innovative methodology that would both cover the needs of teachers in their knowledge on social entrepreneurship and the needs of students, as they got introduced in a new project and they were challenged to participate.
SCOOPCONSS IDEAS
Students from 1st EPAL Trikalon developed a cooperative which will address the biggest problems in their local community and take action in:
- the provision of blue recycling bins and the collection of waste in mountainous and remote areas of the Region of Thessaly,
- school education around environmental and recycling issues,
- the construction of houses from recycled wood for people who face housing problems.
