I.E.S. Simón Pérez started its activity in the academic year 1984/85, with students coming from the schools in the area of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The reason for their participation in the project arised from their interest in publicising their initiative which, over the last three years, the secondary school and Aula Enclave students of the IES Simón Pérez have been carrying out to set up a school co-operative. These students wanted to present their proposal at national and European level in order to know different realities and also have the opportunity to see the opportunities of their project on a much larger scale.
SCOOPCONSS IDEAS
Simón Recicla wants to promote recycling in the educational center of their area where they go to give talks to make other people conscious and aware of the importance of the environment. They also go around the neighborhood to clean up and transmit the message of a cleaner and more sustainable world through workshops and fun games for the youngests.
DiverSimón aims to amuse and entertain children and teenagers, achieving inclusion by working with all types of people, with equality and without any type of exclusion. They carry out different types of activities such as: sports, crafts, cultural plans and environmental games.
